....I thought I'd try my hand at some doormats. Anybody have any good doormat recipes? I particularly love the colours in that top one, bit of hot pink and turquoise mixed in with some faint coffee bean aromas. So nice.
I'll have to cut them out and hand them over to hubby to do the sewing at the sail loft with some heavy duty machines as this hessian will murder my Bernina!
Anybody got any better ideas for them? Do tell!
oh my god they are gorgeous- i love me a coffee sack!
ReplyDeletei have never heard of making them into doormats- they'd be great!!!!!
i'd have to hang them- as i just couldn't cut into them!
happy creating!

I'm with Melissa, I don't think I could cut them up as I've seen them dressed up into cushions, seats, Christmas decorations, you name it. I'm now going to keep my eyes open because I didn't think of coffee shops selling them. You lucky thing. Hey, with the doormat, you could cheat and just slip an old doormat inside and sew around it.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great find. I love them. The colours are great. I am looking forward to seeing what you do with them.
