our creative spaces....

I've had a heap of these embroidery hoops sitting around for a while doing sweet nothing and so thought I'd put them to good use. Also wanted to update the shop so decided to make some initial door signs!
I picked out some fabric for the background and stretched it into the frame. I then drew some letters, appliqued them onto the fabric and then blanket stitched around the edge.
I think they would look pretty sweet on the bedroom door or even just hung on the wall. OK, off I go to make some more whilst you head over to Our Creative Spaces to check out lovely things being made.

  1. These are really sweet. Love the blanket stitch edging, and the stripes for backgrounds..I think they would look very cool just hanging on the wall.

  2. So pretty and effective. I've been doing some blanket stitching too - I find once I get into the rhythm of it it's very therapeutic and looks so good when it's done.
